Tits up

Well, I did check the garden feeders a few times today but no mega rarities showed themselves amongst the House and Tree Sparrows.

After a bright start today ended up being foggy and a trip to Maridalen revealed only a few birds. I discovered why one of the feeding stations hasn’t been that productive recently – it was empty for sunflower seeds. I filled up and an hour later there was a good selection of birds. Five species of Tits with Crested (toppmeis) the best, Treecreeper (trekryper), Nuthatch (spettmeis), Great Spotted Woodpecker (flaggspett) and Jay (nøtteskrike) ensured lots of life.
Coal (svartmeis), Blue (blåmeis) and Great Tit (kjøttmeis)
